As the global economy weighs up the risks of the escalating war in Iran, entering its 10th day, Brazilian meatpackers are raising concerns about the potential fallout for their industry.
Brazil exported more than USD 12.4 billion in agricultural goods to Middle Eastern countries in 2025, at an average annual growth rate of 49% since 2000, according to data compiled by think tank Agro Insper Global. Poultry and beef ranked among the top products sold to the region that year, alongside corn and sugar.
