By 2035, one in every three cars sold in Brazil will be from a Chinese automaker. That is the forecast of Zag Work, a consultancy founded by Rogélio Golfarb — a former vice president of Ford in South America who also served as president of Anfavea, the association of Brazilian automakers.
Chinese brands accounted for 10% of Brazil's auto market last year. Zag Work projects that share will double to 20% by 2030, and then surge to 35% five years later.
