Brazil's government will meet football club executives on Tuesday to discuss the fallout from its ban on online betting, which President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed on Friday, nine days before the first round of the presidential election. The Sports Ministry says it wants to hear the clubs' demands and help limit their losses as betting sponsorships unravel.
