Progress on the bill to kill the six-day workweek

The Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva administration and the leadership of the House wrapped up negotiations on a constitutional amendment bill to scrap the six-day-on, one-day-off work schedule common in the retail sector and trim the standard workweek from 44 hours to 40 without cutting wages. Lula and House Speaker Hugo Motta agreed on a phased rollout:
