Tax auditors leaked Supreme Court justices’ fiscal records

Brazil's Federal Police carried out search-and-seizure warrants across three states on Tuesday, targeting four federal tax officials suspected of illegally accessing the confidential fiscal records of Supreme Court justices and their relatives. The operation was authorized by the Supreme Court itself — specifically by Justice Alexandre de Moraes, whose own wife appears among the alleged victims of the breach.
The four suspects are employees of the Federal Revenue Service or officials on secondment from other federal bodies. None were arrested, but the court ordered them to wear ankle monitors, suspended them from public work, cancelled their passports and banned them from leaving the country.
