Paz and Quiroga ready to face off in Bolivia’s runoff

Bolivia is counting the hours before it picks a new president, with right-winger Jorge “Tuto” Quiroga facing centrist Rodrigo Paz in an October 19 runoff that will decide who leads the country into a new era. The tiebreaking vote comes after the collapse of the ruling Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) party in the election’s first round, following two decades of national dominance.
