A curious twist is taking place in the debate about US-Mexico migration: now, it is Mexicans protesting the presence of US citizens in their country, arguing that their thirst for a cheaper lifestyle is driving up the cost of living in Mexico’s urban centers.

In capital Mexico City, opposition towards foreign-induced gentrification reached a new level last week when a group of protesters destroyed storefronts and vandalized shops, spraying graffiti against “colonizers” and even calling to “kill a gringo” …
