The latest opinion poll by Datafolha, one of Brazil’s most renowned institutes, suggests that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is entering the long prelude to Brazil’s 2026 election with solid but fragile electoral advantages — and with an approval rating that refuses to budge.

According to the survey, this is how Brazilians rate Lula:

  • 32% of respondents rated his government as good or great,

  • 30% deemed it average,

  • 37% considered it poor or terrible.

These results are statistically unchanged from the previous round of polls.
