Haiti turns to Trump-friendly mercenaries to fight gang takeover

Incapable of containing the urban gangs that are on the verge of taking control of its capital, Port-au-Prince, Haiti is reportedly making a last-ditch attempt to restore civil order by hiring foreign mercenaries.
Based on information from US and Haitian sources, the New York Times said the country’s interim officials are in contact with former US Navy SEAL Erik Prince, founder of private security firm Blackwater.
Prince has been getting increasingly involved in Latin America. He recently led a controversial fundraising effort to oust Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro after his fraudulent re-election, and has also been approached by Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa to help in his “war” against drug cartels…
