The military standoff between Venezuela and the US has been going on for two months, since the global superpower began its mobilization towards the Caribbean sea, firing at multiple boats and killing at least 27 people that the White House described as drug traffickers.
Signs are now pointing towards further escalation, as US President Donald Trump admitted in a recent press conference that he authorized covert CIA involvement in Caracas, and is even considering expanding military operations to Venezuelan soil.
