After being deemed a flight risk by the Supreme Court, Jair Bolsonaro appears more defiant than ever — and so does his family. On Monday, the former Brazilian president openly defied a Supreme Court ban on social media use by appearing publicly outside Congress, where he showcased the electronic ankle monitor he’s been forced to wear and delivered a speech that was subsequently broadcast on online platforms.
“This is a symbol of maximum humiliation,” Bolsonaro said at the event, surrounded by allies from the House. “I didn’t steal from the public coffers, I didn’t kill anyone, I didn’t traffic anything. What they’re doing to a former president is cowardice. We will stand up to everything and everyone” …
