The fragile relationship between Washington and Brasília has suffered a new blow. After Donald Trump announced additional 50% tariffs on all Brazilian exports and an investigation into unfair trade practices, the US State Department revoked visas for Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes “and his allies on the court, as well as their immediate family members.”
While the State Department did not identify all individuals targeted by the move, officials in Brasília say the visa revocations extended to seven other justices — excluding three viewed as allies of Bolsonaro — as well as the prosecutor general and head of the Federal Police…
